Privacy Policy
ECHO collects no personal information. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no advertising, and it asks for no permissions. Since version 1.0.3 it sends anonymous gameplay statistics (which levels players reach and how long they take) so that levels which are broken or unfairly hard can be found and fixed. You can switch this off at any time in the game’s settings.
This policy explains exactly what that means. The developer is Dzianis Dashchynski.
1. What stays on your device
Everything ECHO remembers about your game is stored only on your iPhone:
- Your campaign progress: which levels you have completed, how far you have reached, your best call counts, and which levels you crossed without falling.
- Your settings: the sound level, whether haptics are on, whether motion is reduced, and whether statistics are shared.
This data lives in the app’s private storage on the device and is removed completely when you delete the app. It is never sent anywhere, and it is not part of the statistics described below.
2. Anonymous gameplay statistics
Unless you switch them off, ECHO records the following events and sends them to the analytics service named in section 3:
- a level was started;
- a level was finished, with how long it took and how many times you fell;
- the offer to unlock the full game was shown;
- the full game was unlocked.
The analytics software adds technical context to every event: the device model, iOS version, app version, language and region settings, time zone, screen size, accessibility settings such as bold text or reduced motion, and simple usage counts such as the number of sessions and how long they last.
To tell one player apart from many, the game creates a random identifier for its installation. It is not derived from your name, email address, Apple Account, advertising identifier or any identifier provided by iOS, and it is hashed on your device before anything is sent. Deleting the app and installing it again creates a new one.
ECHO never sends your name, email address, Apple Account, location, contacts, photos or advertising identifier. The statistics are not used for advertising, are not sold, and are not used to track you across other apps or websites.
Switching them off. Open the game’s settings and turn off share progress. From then on the game records nothing at all. Statistics already sent cannot be linked back to you.
3. Who processes the statistics
The statistics are processed by TelemetryDeck GmbH (Germany) on servers in Germany and the Netherlands. TelemetryDeck states that it never stores IP addresses. It does not currently commit to a fixed date for deleting stored events. Its practices are described in TelemetryDeck’s privacy FAQ.
4. What ECHO does not do
- It requests no permissions, not your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, or notifications.
- It contains no advertising and no advertising identifier (IDFA). It does not present App Tracking Transparency because it does not track you.
- It contains no crash-reporting SDK. There is no Sentry, no Firebase, and no Google or Meta software in the app.
- It has no user accounts and no sign-in.
- It does not use Game Center or any leaderboard service.
5. Purchases
ECHO offers a single one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the rest of the campaign. It is processed entirely by Apple StoreKit. Your payment method, billing address, and Apple Account details are handled by Apple and are never visible to the developer.
The game checks whether the unlock is active on your Apple Account, which is what makes “Restore Purchase” work on a new device. That check happens between your device and Apple. The developer only ever learns, through the anonymous statistics in section 2, that an unlock took place, never who made it.
Apple’s handling of purchase data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
6. Crash and performance data
ECHO does not send crash reports to the developer. If you have chosen to share analytics with Apple in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may make aggregated, anonymised crash and performance statistics available to us through App Store Connect. That collection is Apple’s, is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, is entirely under your control in iOS Settings, and never identifies you to us.
7. Children
ECHO is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The anonymous statistics in section 2 contain nothing that could reveal who a player is.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR (EU/EEA/UK), CCPA (California), and equivalent laws elsewhere, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, objection, and portability over personal data a company holds about you.
The developer holds no personal data about you. The statistics are anonymous and cannot be linked back to a person, so there is no record we could find, correct or export for you. You can stop them at any time in the game’s settings, and deleting the app removes everything stored on your device, including its identifier. If you have a question about any of this, write to us at the address below and we will answer within 30 days.
9. International transfers
The anonymous statistics are processed by TelemetryDeck within the European Union (Germany and the Netherlands). Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s own terms.
10. Changes to this policy
If what ECHO collects changes, this policy will be updated before that version ships and the “Last updated” date above will change. This update covers version 1.0.3, which introduced the anonymous statistics.
